Tower Lights

Tower lights are an economical and safe way of providing light to outdoor locations and work sites.   A set of lamps called an outrigger are attached to a tall mast with an average height of 30 feet. Tower lights are also known as mobile light towers.  Power is provided by connecting the tower light fixture to a natural gas or diesel generator.  All tower lights are portable.

The most popular applications for utilizing tower lights are construction and industrial sites, emergency services organizations and roadway hazard and construction.  Tower lights can be leased or purchased.  Custom designed packages of the mast, outrigger and generator are all available so that you are able choose a specific brand name generator type (such as a 3 phase generator by Baldor) and connect it to a different brand manufactured outrigger (such as a MultiQuip mobile light tower.

Tower Light Masts, Outriggers and Trailer Mounts

There are a variety of ways to combine your power generator with your tower lights.  Selecting the mast, outrigger and trailer mount and hitch will provide you with a custom designed package that best suits your applications and illumination requirements.

MASTS - A mast is the pole that extends from the generator to the light outrigger.  The typical mast is 30 feet in length.  Masts are manufactured up to 60 feet but custom lengths are possible depending on the manufacture brand.  Masts on tower lights come as either manual or hydraulic operation.  Hydraulic masts are more common on the larger tower lights.

OUTRIGGERS - A tower light outrigger is most commonly available in 4-6  metal halide lamps with a cross bar.  Construction and industrial applications may require more lighting and should order 8-12 lamps. The 4-6 size outrigger will easily illuminate 5-7 acres.

TRAILER MOUNTS and HITCHES - In order to transport your tower light, the purchase of a trailer mount is required. The trailer mount attaches and carries the generator and lighting device.  Trailer mounts are equipped with wheels for easy mobility from each location. The trailer mount will then be attached to your vehicle or truck via a mobile light trailer hitches. Mounts and hitches must be measured for proper fitting and support of your generator and connection to your vehicle.
